My homie went around the block and when he came back he was unable to select gears
like he cant go into first or second its like real hard but if he turns off the car he can select gears so has anyone had that problem

 

Either the Clutch release mechanism has pissed all it's fluid away (a leak), or the pressure plate (clutch itself) soiled itself.
This is (of course) assuming it's a manuel* transmission.
