custom airbox
Have any of you guys built a custom airbox for your 5th gens after relocating your battery to the back? i was thinking of something out of aluminum such as the ARC airbox or a custom fiberglass airbox that will mold to the shape of the engine bay in order to maximize size. Also , will an s2000 airbox fit. Theres a reason for why the s2k has such awesome response cuz of that behemoth box.
POST yout pics up if you have any.
Thanks

the reason why is volumetric efficency. basically, your engine has a maximum intake volume, your VE is how much intake velocity you are actually getting. bigger airboxes help with this.
honestly, if you have nothing else to do to your car, you might try it. it would take numerous dyno runs and you might gain 1-2 hp over a type s intake or aem v2

Im basically looking for better overall response, and more low and mid range power and torque. I have tried numerous intakes including an iceman, nad i am most satisfied with my modified stock airbox.
