My car just recently got the front door dinged pretty well. The door is the only problem and needs to be changed. The person at faults insurance is changing the door and is fully covered. I was thinking of doing it myself and just taking the check from the insurance and maybe fixing a few other things with the money.
Has anyone ever changed the front door on a teg?
I have changed cam shafts, complete suspension, played with the doors a bit but never removed them.
Is this something I should try out.
By the way my car is getting old and is rusting out a bit(sniff) so I don't care about a second hand door, as long as the colour is the same.
Thanks in advance

Its easy as hell.
There are two hinges with two bolts on each. Disconnect the harness and pull it out. And then theres this other hinge that you have to pull out by pulling a pin like thing upwards. I'll get you some pics later tonight if you want. The hardest part will be aligning the door properly.

You have to swap out the outside door handle for the doors so you can unlock the door with your keys. Also, make sure the harness for the doors are the same for your car. I did a four door once, and I had to remove the entire wiring in the new door front doors and replace it with the old one, since the harness didn't match up.
