when i put the key in the 1 position, it would be normal and do the chirping sound if my door is ajar. when i put the key in the 2 position, it would also be normal. i would hear the fuel pump, and all the applicable cluster lights would light on.

however, when i actually try to crank it, everything turns off. it doesnt even turn over. all i hear is 1 clicking sound before everything dies. and then when i release the key back into 2nd position, everything would again be normal and all the lights and watever are normal.

help please, wat could it be? alternator, battery, plugs, wires, starter...?

 

first start would be the battery
