Slight clunking sound from front of car...
Well I am getting a slight clunking noise from the front of my car. WHenever I am going from a stop I get an intial clunk and then that's it. Also it only does it whenever there is a sudden change in momentum. For example, when I am at say 4-5k and just let off the gas or when shifting from 1st to 2nd at like 4k. In higher gears it doesn't seem to do it. I read up that it might be a couple things. But I am thinking its a mount or something becuase when I am in second gear and making a left turn at around 20-25 mph, it does it, but doing the same thing and taking a right turn it doesn't do it. Any ideas? I searched and it seemed to be that most people said it was a tranny problem, but I don't think it would be since it only does it turning certain directions and such.
What about shocks. I was having a issue with clunking when I brake. It ends up my shocks are bad. Try reading around in the suspension forum. There should be some articles about clunking
