Default Resistor box internal circuitry

From what ive been able to gather, a DSM resistor box only has 4 leads coming from it. Does anyone know how these leads connect to the internal circuitry of the resistor box and how that wiring them to the "Dead end connector" makes a circuit with the proper resistance.

I guess what Im asking is how does the dead end connector wire into the injector circuitry. Is it in parallel with the injectors?

Anyone who can shed some light on this would have my gratitude.
