ok so i called HELM INC about getting a manual for a 1997 teg and there saying that i need to buy the SUPPLIMENT manual??? as well with the other one. what is this one there talking about??? what does it tell me ?? its an extra 40 bucks anyone know??? so like $100 for both ??

 

i just bought the 1998 service manual last night on their web site. If you go to their web site and look at the supplement manual it says to just purchase the whole manual which is about 60 bucks.

 

well the lady at helms told me to order the regular manual and the 97 supplement manual?? why??

i think shes confused. the big manual is for 94-98 models. they have a supplement for 2001. but its so small i wish i wouldnt have wasted my money. its seriously only like 30 pages and it costs almost as much as the big one $38

 

i thought the 1998 was for 98+ cars ?
if not then what is ?

I think the supplement manual that they are talking about is the Type R manual.

hmm now that i think about it you may be right. mines a 2001 and i had to buy the supplement. i wonder what the 1998 one covers.

who else has a manual? and what does your manual say? like what year? when i purchased mine i was under the impression that the "big one" as for all years up to 1998 then the supplement was for 98-01

i dont know. someone shed some light on the subbject

my manual has stuff related to all the vehicle trims, ie,. LS GS GSR Type R

We are talking about the 1997 manual, not your 1998/2001.

my big manual doesnt go up to 2001, thats why i have a supplement for 2001 my manual only goes up to 1998
