Default Clutch wet with oil? help

Ok so ive got a turbo EM1 and ive been dealing with an oil leak for the longest time, I thought it was my oil return from the turbo back to the oil pan. but now im thinking its perhaps the Oil Pan gasket?
i did a clutch change saturday and when we took off the tranny the bell housing was wet with oil, not the typical clutch dust you would find. is it possible that if my oil pan gasket is leaking where the fly wheel shield covers about an inch of the oil pan itself and allowing oil to splash up into my clutch area?

any help? thoughts?

How did the rear main seal look when you did the clutch job? Did you pull the flywheel to inspect it?

did NOT pull the flywheel, but looked in good shape...only 50,000 miles on it. rear main seal visually looked ok? perhaps i should reinspect this?

trying changing the gasket and if it's still leaking it's got to be the rear main seal. DO it quick so that yo udon't screw up your clutch

It was 2 steps further than your clutch replacement - remove the flywheel, remove the RMS, then install new RMS, install flywheel. I haven't done one on my Si, but on my 300ZX, it is minimal extra effort.

oh boyeeeeeeeeeee.

hopefully its just your oilpan gasket... there are two small washers on two of the studs, or theyre part of the gasket itself, I think, right at the clutch inspection plate too, maybe one of them got hung up on something and you jsut need a new oilpan gasket and cleaned surfaces so it seals nicely this time.

OR its that $5 rear main seal you were 8 bolts and 1" away from.
