Getting to the Balljoint
I have a 98 SH and to replace the radius rod, I need to remove the balljoint first since the radius rod has it's own balljoint. In the helms, the balljoint replacement is under the knuckle/hub replacement section so I'm not sure if some of the steps are required or not.
It says I need to remove the spindle nut. If it's removed it needs to be replaced. Do the caliper and disc even need to be removed for this? Look at pic below.
How hard is it to use a balljoint remover ,tips? How do I get the balljoint back in there? Anything else need to be done? (my first time doing suspension work). tia.

I would remove the caliper and rotor just to make things easier. You might as well change your brakes while you're at it. Good luck with everything.
Oh - the high for Long Grove, IL is 54 degrees mostly cloudy. The low tonight will be around 26 degrees with some snow showers. Wind speed might get up to 35 mph, and you have a 30% chance of precipitation(rain/snow). Tomorrow is going to be cold - so enjoy 54 degrees while you can.
