Default Serious opinions on kteller header

Since the day i started my research on headers these have caught my eye. They have been mentioned in a couple of threads but even there the info was sparse. Plus maybe someone has heard new things about it.

http://www.kteller.com/store/p...8f10d

First of all i like the look of course, definitely a good-looking header. Next question is how does it compare? I know, i know, smsp and rmf is what i should get but thats out of my league. I will happily sacrifice power and pay 400$ less.

So wats the deal on these headers? Are they worth it?

my buddy has a 5th gen with type S pistons, crower stage 1 cams, kteller header, skunk2 IM, 6 puck, and other bolt ons, like new BFG KDW2

i have a 5th gen, stock JDM h22, RMF header and the other bolt ons, bald Kumho 711

from a dead stop race to 120, i beat him by almost 2 cars.

i've beaten so many cars that i never thought i should have beaten and i really think i can only say thanks to RMF.

Yeah - i'm going to tell you to go with RMF or something thats proven to work. The exhaust system makes a huge difference.

Damn I'm jealous. In Miramer, FL - the high is 81 degrees with 30% chance of rain. Low winds - the low is 68 degrees with 0 % chance of rain. Looks like a decent day with the exception of the rain. RMF

I called them and they say a custom header was $1100 USD... Now i know the RMF are probably the best out there, but is there such thing as a good header that is affordable for my h22a type S? the only one i can find that i dont have to get custom made is the DC 4-2-1, 2 piece with 2" collector..... and i dont think i should waste my cash on that. any help?

it depends on what chassis you are dealing with. It will deff bolt to the head and clear the oilpan, but if its in an accord i have no idea if it will fit from there back.

the kteller is $700 with the stamp collector, $800 with the merge which is the one that makes good power, and you have to notch the frame to get it in, and then add shipping

the rmf is $850, way outperforms the kteller w/merge a lot, and thats with shipping included....

realize that randy made this header like 5 years ago and since has improved greatly....

Had a customer make some 20-30whp over a DC 4-2-1 with a 2-1/2" collector.

Best budget header is probably Vibrant. Mugen copy with a larger collector, runs about $500. I wouldn't bother with the DC, even the new one that has the 2.5 collector. Vibrant is a better design, is made better (still not as good as Mugen, Fujitsubo, and especially not the customs like RMF, SMSP, etc. but its not half bad) and its stainless instead of ceramic.

This place advertised Vibrant headers for sale on HT awhile back http://www.extremepowerouters.com/

Prelude isn't listed on their webpage but give them a call.

SMSP and Hytech would be my top picks if I had $1200 to drop on a header but it sounds like you're not ready to go that route.
