something makes me want to say 90,000 and 150,000 on my old lude but im not sure about my civic. you can buy one for about 20 bucks for the inline filter in the engine bay and it takes about 10 minutes to install.. very simple. the one on the fuel pump is replaced whenever the fuel pump is replaced but i do not believe it has a regular service interval.

Normally your fuel pump will go out before you have to replace the screen, just replace the underhood filter.

It's called a fuel pump strainer and it is located on the pump itself. They are pretty cheap but it depends on what car as to how much work it will be to take out the pump. Usually people only replace the strainer when they replace the pump. I doubt there are many with in-lines.
