They are NOT the same chip that's been available for Gm and Ford vehicles.
The same can be accomplished with a $0.30 cent Resistor from Radio Shack.

The proceedure of choice is to have the ECM of choice "Chipped". It's a 'little' more involved than a plug & Play proceedure.
In effect, the ECM' printed circuit board is modified by the addition of a socket for the installation of a programable eprom chip and an external USB port for digital access. After this is done, custom software is installed which allows custom A/F Maps and Ignition Curves to be installed.
Involved indeed, but this is required since Honda hard solders their eproms right to the Motherboard. Thus the jumping thru hoops deal.

Great graphics! Photoshop? LOL
I saw your 'handle' pop up and I half expected the unabashed endorsement for the guy that chipped your ECM......
I'm bumping this so(s) you can get the Product Plug in before this thread flips onto the next page
all in good fun.... P

You can seriously f up your car by installing that "chip". If you want to get more power out of your ECU, look into an OBD1 conversion and run Uberdata, Crome, or any of the "free" tuning apps out there.
What do u mean by "seriously f up your car"? How bad are we talking here? I had a $30 chip on my car for about a year and it never did anything to the car. The check engine light never even came on. So what kind of bad things are you talking about?
I put the chip in last night with out any problems. I had my car dynoed last week at 160 hp. I just had it dynoed again with the chip in and it dynoed at 167 hp. So to all the people telling me that these chips dont work, it obviously did work.

right, ok. i like how your dyno numbers show roughly a 35+whp change from stock w/ an intake and a chip. the chip increases horsepower by tricking the ECU into thinking the car car is running lean, so it dumps more fuel in, and your gas milege will expletive the hell up. also, expect some long term issues as well
