Default evaluate slip 1/8 mile please..

I went to a local 1/8 mile track around my area this past weekend and made a few passes to try and improve my times. My 60' could use some improvement, and I had alot of wheel spin in 1,2 and some in 3rd. But anyway, I thought my trap speed was pretty good but I still cant get out of the 9's. Anyways heres my two best slips.

60' 2.314
660' 9.431
MPH 77.16

60' 2.415
660' 9.396
MPH 81.12

My question is what would a time be with a better 60' and say good traction. My cars setup is a 00 Civic SI Greddy Turbo Tuned on Hondata @10lbs. I have a upgraded ACT clutch and flywheel. Still running stock suspension and street tires.

In my 00 si I ran 9.3 @ 77 in the 1/8 and 14.5 @ 97 in the 1/4 w/ 2.309 60'

Street tires with a 50-75ish shot.

My boys SI ran a 9.3 1/8 with a N/A setup stock block....invest in some slicks, you should be making 220-260 rang!

i think your MPH should be much higher... with slicks you should be at low 8s from what i've seen from local greddy Si's on slicks locally.

how much power are you putting down to the wheels?
car seems pretty slow esp for being turbocharged.

Yeah thats what I was thinking. Like I said it spins pretty bad in 2nd and some in 3rd. An I did notice that I either have to shift at 4th right near the end or it just about hits the rev limiter in 3rd right at the end of the 1/8. I was thinking about some slicks or drag radials. But another question is how would that react to just upgrading to stickier rubber and leaving the suspension alone, other than maybe traction bars later down the road.

Actually it was Eastside that I went to this past weekend. I have been to the Bridge before and I always seem to run faster and better times there. Im gonna try and make it there a couple times this year and hopefully break in the 8's. But yeah slick or d.r. would be a wise investment. What size would be a good recommendation? For slicks?

It could have a lot to do with your driving techniques. I would try to not spool up too much when about to launch which will keep the car from spinning so much in low first. Also, if you are running street tires, don't drive through the water and "heat up" your tires. It doesn't help to do this. I would invest in some drag radials and a stiff suspension. It doesn't matter if you have 300whp if you can't put it to the road.

Get some slicks...... i'm sure you can run some deep 8s with traction.

Sticky tires like DR or Slicks may be a good investment in the future. For some reason I notice last year before my tune and running different street tires Yoko ES100's I would get bad wheel hop off the line. This year Im tuned and running more boost and running AVON M500 tires and seem like Im not getting any wheel hop as much just more spinning than anything. I was thinking about some D.R. and traction bars as a start.
