Default Obd 1 vtec solenoid work on obd0 motor?

Like it says, using an 94 gsr solenoid on a jdm obd0 b16. Will it work? Obviously you can't get the jdm obd0 vtec solenoid from the dealership, so need some options

The newer cars only have a vtec solenoid sensor, the older cars have an oil sensor on the vtec solenoid.

so if they do differ, does that state that they are not interchangeable?

yes..ive had an obd0 and obd1 b16 and now i have an obd1 gsr..they are all the same..the vtec solenoid might have a different plug on it..greay compared to creme..but its only a single wire connecter and can easily be spliced or repinned with the right connector

There interchangeable but it the ecu is looking for 2 sensors and you only have 1, you will have a check engine light

sorry if im wrong..but from my understanding they are both the same..
an oil pressure switch and the vtec solenoid.

i have an obd0 solenoid im using as a paperweight right now..
94 gsr one in my engine bay
and i believe my girls 99 gsr is the same too..

You are wrong, on all vtec solenoids there is the vtec switch but only some have a vtec oil pressure sensor on them.
