i got a 99 civic si b16a2.. i recently barrowed my boys tye r ecu and it made a lil power increase and then my car started poping fire ***** and when i put my stock ecu back i took it on the high way and i was doing 80 and when i would let of the gas the car felt like it had no power for like a good 3sec and then it would pick up and it does that....its pops like crazy and idk wat it is i checked my timing i put new plugs..wires..cap and it pops like a ************ and all i got is intake and exhaust...please helpp

 

did you borrow a ctr or a itr ecu?

i had a similar problem after a severe detonation from nitrous, and it turned out that i had scared the cylinder walls to hell and back. So your best bet is to do a compression check on all your cylinders. Even if that is inconclusive it will still make you feel better knowing that your compression is good across the board

 

its not my compression i think it has to due with my fuel cuz my idle is retarted with my stock ecu and when i put the itr ecu everything goes back to normal
