i was just curious if a h23 block would directly fit into a 5th gen lude cuz i wanna build an engine but i aint sure if the h23 block would directly fit in..does ne1 know?

 

Of course it will fit. It is the same block. Just be aware that the 92-96 H23 main journals are 50mm, same as the 93-97 H22 blocks. 98+ blocks have 55mm mains.

 

I did a H23/Vtec in my 5th gen prelude. It was fast very alot of torque of the line.
but I sold the car a last night so its not longer with me.

 

thanks, cuz i got a 5th gen thas pretty much full bolt on, nd i wanna do sumtin different from alotta otha ppl in my area...i wasnt sure if the dimensions were different. does ne1 know where i can get a h23 shortblock for cheap price, ima try nd get it legit. my lude is my DD so i wanna build an engine and by the time its ready 2 b swapped, my lude wont b daily driven.

 

o and when u say the 98+ h22s have 55mm mains u mean i needa find a specific yr h23 or a h22 head from a 97 lude?

 

Ok now I was wonderin, I was curious would a H23 head fit a H22 block? Or is this just wrong lol
