Default Arospeed inner floor bar???

hmm... this is a bit interesting. Groupbuycenter has a universal arospeed inner floor bar for sale. It's adjustable and bolts to the seatbelt mounts, mounting behind the front seat and in front of the rear seat. Any thoughts on this?

Would it really stiffen up the chassis to a noticeable degree or really help? I'm not too familar w/ how the chassis of the accord, so not sure whether or not the bar would really help.

Btw, is there any other company out there that has a floor bar specifically made for accords? I don't like the idea of these universal stuff... looks tacky (w/ all the diff mounting holes), and probably wouldn't be as rigid if the bar is adjustable. I'd prefer a solid bar w/ welded ends.

These bars really don't adjust wide enough to really stiffen the car but they look cool i have put them in integra civic hatch and lude they fit the tightest in the lude for some reasonit seems the lude is not as wide as the civic or integra which does not make sense to me i am going to try one in my 4th gen accord to see how tight it is but as you said welded and built for your car would be the best and would not be to difficult or expensive i would check on that if i where you

Rice, rice, baby. Aerospeed is coming up with all sorts of stupid ****. In addition to these bars, they have those "intercooler-look" front mount air intakes, and "BOV-style" intake filter. Blue header? I mean pluh-ease.

my guess is that it's for looks only and it only stiffens the chassis minorly...

Those actually make sense. They have a plastic insert in the front of them to provent water from getting in, and you remove it when your at the track or whatever. But they do have like 5 bends in the tubing, which really isnt worth the money.

cuz i havent seen anyone else make one of these for our cars. Accords have much less aftermarket support than civics/integras. =|

For hte one who has actually tried this... lmk if it makes any diff in the 4th gen accord. Maybe if it helps, I'll find a shop to custom make one for me w/ welds.

i have done several front mount intakes and with the cover on you lose minamal hp and torqe but with the cover off the low end stays the same as a cold air but at the top end it works a lot like ram air makes aa very noticable difference the only down fall is that they are loud as hell

From my understanding the part of the car that these bars are supposed to brace is already one of the more ridgid areas of the car. Think about it. There is already alot of strength there to protect from side impacts.
