Default New Clutch question

hey, i just changed to an '88 Si trans on my '91 hf with b7 motor today, i changed the clutch with a new oem style exedy clutch and '88 flywheel, the cable is pretty new, before i changed the trans and clutch the pedal was stiffer, i could also ride the clutch better with the old one, the new clutch feels alot softer but engages much quicker, it works well also better engages much more abrupt. what would the reason for the pedal to be softer be?

The pressure plate is pretty much the sole factor in determining pedal pressure, it seems that your new pressure plate is a little softer which is ok especially since it''s OEM.
