hi, I'm in the market for a new muffler to replace my stock one and i was wondering if you guys had any experiences with the comptech SS axel back, what kind of sound does it produce?

I was also looking at the Greedy SP, but i only see it coming with the whole catback exhaust which i dont need...any way to just get the muffler?
I'm looking for a deep but not to deep throaty smooth sound...not to loud and no buzzing/lawnmower type sound...just something right in the middle of not to deep and not to high pitched basically anyone got sound clips?
thanks alot in advance and the reason i asked here is that the search utility did not yield much about these 2 muffler's...also if anyone has any other suggestions on other models please post them..

yeah i got one, its on a civic si but is really burly, not ricey, ill try and find it so you can hear it.

I really like how it sounds. Although this is the cat back, so it might sound a little different but not too much. Let me know what you think.

 

I have the exhaust on my car which is a 1999 Honda Civic EX, it sounds sweet! It has a nice deep mellow sound to it, and when you accelerate it has a nice howl to it, isn't to loud, but isn't quiet either.

what kind of mods did that blue civic have because at the begining i really couldnt hear the exhaust, i think the intake over powered it. anyways the exhaust sounds great thanks alot

 

Anytime man, Yeah it prolly had I/H/E, but I also like the soubnd of that exaust. Not ricey at all.

 

I have the comptech axleback fitted with custom 2 1/4 mandrel bent piping. The sound is very nice..honestly out of of all my friends' cars, I think my exhaust sounds the best. It is not droany at all. The sound is very deep and mellow..Never raspy or tinny. It is pretty quiet also. Too bad, I got a damn ticket the other day for it. I am thinking about getting rid of it for an ITR muffler due to cops harrassing me.
