New accord owner
Hi all,
Just purchased my first accord. As I am from Australia it is known as an Accord Euro Luxury. Picking it up in a week to 2 just waiting for exact delivery date.
Just looking for some advice in regards to some mods I wish to do etc has anyone installed a bluetooth hands free kit which runs through the standard stereo as in Aus having trouble finding anyone who has done this, most installers are saying cant be done but i think that is BS.
Also I am wanting to fit 19" wheels and am wondering if anyone has done this on a 7th gen accord here and any issues they may have encoutered such as wear scrubbing etc.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

I think the reluctance on the part of some to respond is because of the unfamiliarity on the part of (at least myself) with non-US designators on Honda products (it's a learning curve thing). I'm sure it's not any issue of a US-centric attitude, but more one of wanting to speak from a position of knowledge and the fact that your ride (as is most of it's vintage (new) are still under warranty) and I wouldn't anticipate a whole buch 'o people having modifyed them yet.
Hang in there, I'm sure others will chime in as well
The 19" rims"...Perhaps a little large for my tastes, and could leave you with sidewall issues. I have found that if rims (in general) have the standard offset, it's most often the tire size selected with makes or breaks the installation. If you stay close to the original tires Diameter and select a tread width of either 205 or 215mm (with the appropriate sidewall% you'd be fine.
You might play around with The Tire Racks + selector program and see what scares up

as long as you can set the blue tooth to operate on a frequency that isn't being usd by a radio station it'll work fine..
You can simply run higher octane fuel in your car for a few extra HP (maybe 5 on the I4) or 10 on the V6 (if you are lucky to have that over there).
The things you want to keep the same on the tires are
1. Offset
2. width (within 1cm or 10mm)
3. Diameter (too large or small your speedo gets screwed up)
Since the accord engine bay appears to be pretty standard accross the 7th gen you could get CAI or Short Ram intake.
why not post up a pix of your car and engine bay so we can see what it looks like?
Thanks.

that is known as the Acura TSX over here. im pretty sure it is ONLY available in the I4, the k24 variant found in both the tsx and the USDM 7th gen I4. i know on the USDM accord (Accord Inspire in many parts of the world) can easily take 19+ " wheels, though im not sure about the Euro Accord (TSX).
i would NEVER recomend a higher octane fuel than what is recomended by the manufacturer (for a stock motor)

well the higher octane fuel is out since it is already required....
140KW = approximately 187.67HP while that is about 20 more than the I4 cars here it is 56 less than the V6.... Since it is a TSX, you can most likely use the aftermarket parts for that car..........
might want to hit up the acura forum for more help since it is essentally the same car...............
