Oil filter question k-series???????

just out of curiosity can you use for instants on an RSX-s can u use filter PH3593A the older style honda filter cause the newer one they call for is PH7317??? my buddy has a type S and he has a few brand new Ph3593A style filters that he never used on his older car. i assume u can use it right ??

ph3593a=short fatter filter
ph7317= longer skinny flter

Um, i have no clue... my engine runs on Genuine Honda filters for the type-s. For the sake of $5, just go buy some.

man i dunno, but i use jdm hamp oil filters, which works with almost all honda cars from 92 - present

u can still use the old style honda filters on the k series.
