Today, I noticed a vibrating, or buzzing sound, which sounded like it was comming from directly under where my shiter, or cuphoders are.

Im thinking it could be my cat? Or perhaps it could be a hole in my exhaust? :-\ Any suggestions, or thoughts would be much appreciated.

I was going to travel tomorrow, but id rather not go until im sure my car is okay. (Travel anxietys make little problems seem HUGE!)

 

im guessing a crack a shop can fix in the quickness

 

my guess, is the cat cover. A crack wont vib. itll just sound like a leak.

Just take the cat cover off and see if it goes away!

 

from what you discribe i'm almost sure the cat heat sheild is loose just tighten it or just take it of like i did. if its not that then try checking the exhuast in that area for anything loose hope this helps

 

Yeah, a hole/crack would sound like a sort of knocking sound rather than a rattle. It's definitely the heat shield by the cat, if you are really worried about it tighten it up and be done or just leave it. It won't hurt anything to let it rattle.
