Default Oil recommendations

Well I purchased a 2006 RSX Type s today and I am very happy with it. but as you know as of most new car owners you wonder how to keep it in perfect condition. and I was wondering what type of oil do you guys prefer. Like the best for new cars

Good buy, mines a virgin with only 2000 miles so I know how you feel. Breaking in the engine I only use dinosaur oil (non-synthetic) for th first 5K miles @ the stock viscosity (5w30). Then at 5K I switch over to syntetic for the rest of its life. It ensures a nice break-in for all parts.

Castrol is a great brand, regardless of what it's for
Motul (my favorite so far)
Redline (#2)
Royal Purple (I have only heard from my Civic buds, but they like it).

Whatever you get just change it regularly for a long lasting engine.

I have 5030 miles on the clock, and am changing the oil tonight for its first synthetic. I'm putting in AMS Oil 5W-30.
