Default Civic, Integra vs. wrx

How much HP would an integra or an eg civic need in order to beat a wrx?

Go here ^

A B18 turbo hatch that only weighs like 2100 pounds stock, with a decent driver, would destroy a Subaru. Even one that wasn't stock.

But this forum isn't about bench-racing, so no point in this at all. The only thing I can tell the original poster to do, is get it done with your car and then tell us what it took.

This dude ^ is telling the truth.

In STI can hit high 12's stock. A stock 06 Wrx with the bigger motor in them can low 13's. It seems that Subaru has under claimed the HP on the new ones. I don't really see how an Si could stay with a WRX. I know one couldn't stay with my wagon.

Forgot to say it was an older one, plus it was from a roll. It would have been a lot different from a dead stop

haha, im not mad that my car only goes 13, besides i just barely turned 18. Hopfully ill be running close to 11's soon w/ my turbo kit going in, in 2 weeks. I just feel that an awd car has more potential in the long run.

I tell you one thing I love Hondas but you can't beat AWD when in the wet or snow.
Does anybody want to race me in a turbo FWD in the rain. I really like my wagon. Just the other night a smoked a Boxer S. I don't think he knew what hit him.

wrx's are great off the line, but they have no top end. thats why a swaped civic can stay and even beat a wrx.

60 mph and higher my 00 civic with a b18c1 eng N/A would pull on a wrx.

they are great off the line, but they will not hold much power from a dig with a stock gear box, hence my bro (also a subaru tech) had an 02 wrx with mild mods, making about 280 wheel, broke 7 trans missions in the course of about 10 months, puit an RA (jap cryoed) gearset in it and that lasted about 3 months and bent the main shaft on a third gear pull!
I know people are going to say he cant drive, but alot of the occurances happend while not even leaving the line, while some did
Now the 6 speed sti trans= whole differnt story

when i had my turbo ls teg,it was making 302whp on 15psi,and a sti could get me off the line, but by the end of second gear(usdm type r trans) the sti owner would regret trying to pick on my teg,and by fourth gear he realized he had no chance in hell.and that perticular sti had 2k in mods,so yes they are fast but a well modded honda will destroy it.power to weight man

ive seen even the new sti's in for tranny work...they are great in the wet, snow...from a dig...their trannies are weak and their differentials are weak.
Theres a guy out here, he has one quick wrx wagon, ive seen him break off some fast cars...but even he will tell you the trannies in them are ****...he even said that about his dog-box tranny that he broke 3rd gear. all im saying is they have no more portential to go fast than a honda.

im really tired of all these young kids raving about awd...yoohoo...all 4 wheels spin...i have yet to be out sixtied by an sti, wrx or an evo...maybe on the street but surely not at the track.

IM just tired of the hype cause i had an STI owner in another thread tell me that after 15G's into my teg's motor he would still take me. im just flat out tired of it! Dont get me wrong i love sti's and i think they are monsters but the potential to build a honda that contends is not an illusion ppl do it daily so again i invite any sti owner to take two minutes of their time to look at a website that will give them more insight! http://www.full-race.com
again there are dyno sheets to prove to them what potential the applications have on stock block honda motors!
Thanks again,
