Default b17a questions

is the stroke of a b17 the same as a 1.8? gsr

heres my deal.. i just got a 93 gsr for hella cheap..the engine has a slight knock so i was going to drop it off at a machine shop for new 9.1cr pistons and new rodds.. have them bore it to a 1.8

are there any issues.. im worried about bore and stroke

please give me a hint..lol

thanks guys..for 600 bucks a gsr with mint body and mint interior.. ill do the title work any day..

No. B18's are taller. PS the only brand that makes aftermarket rods for the B17 is crower and they are not cheap.

I thought you could get B16 rods and they work on the B17? Don't quote me on that though.

I'm quoting you

B17 is basically a stroked B16. What does stroked mean, longer stroke which most of the time is because of the crank and rods.

Here is a stroker kit for picture reference.

sorry, dont mean to threadjack but

So, if i were to rebuild my B18 and put one of these stroker kits in... how much power gain you think i would see?

i put in 9.1 cr pistons in my b17 and used my factory rods. works great!

I don't have a 92-93 gsr but I do have a b17. Probally one of my favorite hondas though. Why don't you give the poor thing some commpression?

it has a slight knock? isnt it one or the other..knock or no knock...cuz when my motor went..the knocking was loud as hell...it wasnt very slight...im just curious
