Default Attention JDM backseat owners

I just recieved my jdm backseat from germany today, and excited to install them. However, I don't know what exactly to do. Does anyone have any experience installing them? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did that set you back including shipping? I saw one on ebay and it was Germany as well. The seat would be perfect for my kids as they are still small enough to fit back there! Thanks!

I hear you on that one. It's not like I drive my kids in the back everyday. Just the odd time they miss the bus in the morning. I'd rather they be belted in then sitting on the storage compartment. I was contemplating at one time trading my CRX for a hatchback. Or maybe I'll just buy a Civic hatch or sedan. Hmmm.....

The shipping from Germany costs $70,(almost 3 weeks) and I won the seats off ebay for $290. I was pleasantly surprised that they were in really awesome shape. Anyway, I found a write up on the installation and will be posting some pictures this weekend. Thanks again for the help. Peace.

very interesting. so then, do the EDM/JDM rex's have a longer chassis?

i'm just relating this to the 1990's 300zx. my bro has a 2 seat coupe. we learned that the 2+2 model actually has a slightly longer wheelbase or something. i believe even the gas tank fillcap moves from in front of the rear wheel to behind it.

Same car, same chassis, just a small *** seat of which has no leg room literally!! I think the storage comparment and fold down door were a much better feature that we here in north america are lucky to get. Most people buy the seat cause its someting different.
As far as install, its a piece of cake and should only take 20-30 mins, as its a direct bolt in install.

as an earlier poster said "your kids are your business" but how could you transport your children without proper restraints. That's just a recipe for disaster, you should get another car that is able to accommodate your children and is much safer than a civic. That's just my point of view.
