What do y'all think of this helmet - Suomy Extreme M Fabrizio
I'm seriously contemplating getting it. At kneedraggers, its $650 plus shipping. But I know someone I might be able to get it off for $450 new.
I like that it will make me stand out in traffic, even though it will not match my bike or gear at all (which I kind of like).
What do you guys think??

or
?

The Fabrizio rep is one of the best looking Suomy reps. It matches almost any gear and it's loud (as in wild) as heck. Actually, it's also really loud too without earplugs.
The flat panels will constantly drop in price. Just buy the helmet now, save your money, and when you're ready to buy a tv, you may find the prices have dropped a lot.
And while you're waiting for the tv, just wear your helmet and make vrooom vrooom noises.

For the most part, they're real. The helmets are roughly about $400 or so at dealer's cost. The eBay auctions are extremely cheap because they only plan on making a few bucks off the auction and cut out the middle man.

The cheapest on Ebay (for Suomy Spec 1-R extreme replicas) is $500.
Haven't seen any for $400

Quality and fit is nice on my head but I must say I'm partial to Arai though....

Yeah, I have an Arai Edwards. Definetely better than even the most expensive HJC and cheaper helmets. But its 3+ years old, and I feel like treating myself.
I'll be getting the helmet tomorrow (hopefully)

nice. i tried on several suomy's at kneedragger's (their retail store isn't far from my house
) and really liked them. Just yesterday I tried on the rossi replica by agv. The fit of the helmet on my head just wasn't right. Maybe all aren't like that but it was a sick helmet just don't think the fit was right. Haven't tried on an arai yet. I'd like a new lid and make this kbc a backup

first of all, make sure that suomy actually fits you. i'd hate to drop $500+ on a nice helmet, only to find it doesn't fit (been there, done that...). i've found that suomy has the most odd shape of all helmets i've tried on and all of my coworkers that have tried the suomy agree that it fits differently. the fit is really narrow and ideal for someone that has a small forehead. it is one of the nicest looking helmets i've ever seen though, the pictures do it absolutely no justice.
