How to get those plastic pieces of the top of the grille 99-00?

How do you do this without breaking them? I want to take off the Mooogen grille that was on the car. I've painted and cut to look like Si, but hell with it. I bought an OEM Si weeks ago, and was waiting on paint, but expletive it. I'm throwing it on.

I just unscrewed the center part and used a small flat head screw drive to get the clip part out
