Well here's the deal... I got the trunk on an got all the holes drilled out so all the lights are installed and working... but it seems like the trunk has more room to close but wont go any further..?? is there a way i can adjust it besides the latch..?? it shuts an locks perfect but it still has like 1/4" gaps on both sides an on bottom.... any info would help an yes i searched, thanks...

good luck, hopefully the weather stripping will keep any moisture out until you get it fixed....

who made the hood? (referrence question)

Looks like you need to adjust the latch further (as said), or if possible, adjust the connector on the trunk itself.

Some hoods are made from bad molds and just dont fit right to begin with, cheaper companies refelct this.

i ordered it from http://www.arospeed.com

i was going to go thru VIS but my homeboy had sent back like 3 hoods to them cuz they were always messed up...

about the latching connecter thats part of the car where the latch locks in, how do i adjust that an by adjusting it does it sink in more to pull the trunk down more?

That's all i need is the trunk pulled down about 1/2 inch an the gaps well all be sealed..

http://www.getdistracted.com/forum go to speed limit and look for the repair manual for your car. in the body section it will tell you a bunch of things on how to adjust it that you never knew about

take a hammer, and hit the latch on the car's side down, do this until it fits perfect

seriously, this is what we have done with all the cars we have gotten CF trunks for, works perfect

Well a lot of CF hoods and trunks come off of bad molds. Just like body kits.

I did hear you can have CF hoods and trunks custom fitted though.

maybe your trunk hinges are bent.

EDIT, sorry, my angle of looking at it threw off my answer..

It seems as though it's not drilled far enough up on the hinges..

theres 2 holes under the 2 screws holding on the latch an 1 more screw with a hole under that as well under there... are those blank holes the ones im supposed to drill through to get the trunk to be pulled down further for a better grasp?

I believe that your trunk is warped either from shipment or crappy quality I would get a refund or a new one... Well maybe not since you already drilled holes in it maybe you can sell it and then get an better one like VIS or JDMcarparts.com
