I read somewhere that the Y8 cam sprocket's keyway is offset Unlike the Z6's, where its centered. The question I have yet to know is if I can use a cam sprocket designed for the D16A6/D15B7 on a D16Z6 without having to worry about timing issues and it being dead-on?? Also do these cam sprockets share the same number of teeth??

yeah i ended swapping the cam gear off of my Z6 onto my Y8 and i havent had a single issue... btw i have the car up and running ... she purrrs so nice... should be boosted on sunday(i have to get a custom downpipe made and the bov welded on)... btw hows that stand working out for you?

they are different...I have a y8 cam gear on my z6 and I have it set I think 4 degrees one way ...can't remember if advanced or retarded....read this..

..the gears are off by about half of a tooth so it is really hard to TDC the damn thing
