My First cars time line. Its 3rd year aniversity with me...
well when got my Drivers license, I had saved up about 1500 buck for a car, so I borrowed 300 from my parents and on march 10 2003 bought a 1985 CRX dx, it was super clean, no rust and slow as hell.
may 2003
2mounts later
then I started to modify it, first I lowered it, shaved the moldings built a hood scoop (you know for the carb) got some spray pait and pretty much made it look like ***.
It had a carbed 1.5l 3spd auto, so I knew it was slow.
So I got a SI to do a fI conversion and motor swap, hellas yeah!
july 2003, when I did the si swap, It was my first one, and I managed to not tq down the crank pullybolt properly when I changed the timeing belt so about 2 months later the crank pull *fell off my motor and with it the timimg belt.
August 2003
but I managed to score a d16a1, that I put a 88 civic ZC head on a full 89 inegra wireing harness. it was pretty fast!
november 2003
Then I tried my first paint job and got some 16inch heavy *** wheels.
december 2003
It was pretty sweet, untill about 1month later when I totaly fried the transmission...(and got a new camera)
any way I got a new one and was still driving.
February 2003
My car was runing good then I bottomed out on some sweet cali train tracs and busted open my oil pan, I just keep driving not knowing untill about 5min later when my car stoped runing. damn.
May 2003
I had to save up for a wile but I finaly got a brown top d16a1 and had to do another full wire conversion back to non obd.
my car was also looking better.
March 2004
I did my second paint job on the crx, this time NH0
and got calander in oct for rpr ... yey
2005
I pretty much keep my car clean untill about a year ago then I blew my head gasket going to fast up windy *** roads or some thing...
any way I said expletive it I am starting over ... so I pretty much started a full rebuild.
and this is how it looks as I type:
Peace out, and I know the next 3 year are going to rock!!!

I wish I had a garage like that to do all my work in. All I have right now is the freezing cold. Waiting till summer to rewire it. Looks nice btw

THAT dual carb set up is going on a SOHC or a DOHC? what ecu do you run for that set up?

looks hot! im starting to love the 1st gen crx's more and more... i had a buddy when i was in ohio that was fully restoring a cvcc... i loved that car too(but NO engine space lol)... btw what motor are you dropping in?
