just picked up a '03 GSX-R600
needless to say, i'm very excited to get this thing on the road asap (snow > me)
i bought it from my friend, who had it imported from the states (i live in Canada) and doesn't know much about the bikes history. i know its been raced since its been safety wired (a big plus for me because i was going to safewire whatever i was going to get and make it my track ***** this summer), Goodridge brake lines and Pirellis /w chicken strips completely shaven off.
it has also been laid down (though everything is straight) as the generator cover is scratched up (also explains the flat black paint job). it has only 2,300mi. the full titanium Muzzy exhaust sounds pretty good too
i got it for ~$4,500usd, which in my opinion is a good deal considering bikes up here sell for much more than they do in the States (i can barely buy high milege '99-'00 F4s for that amount)

the pics are shitty because i can't take it out yet
yes there is a dent on the tank (which doesn't bother me at all). can somebody tell me whether those are really Race Tech forks or not (with the sticker and all
)? if they are, are they any good?
in the next couple of weeks: a complete tune up to get it running tip top, dial in the suspension, new tires (Michelin Pilot Powers/Metzeler M3s/Dunlop Qualifiers for the street), sprockets, a clear screen and maybe a fender elminator kit.
what do you guys think? thanks for looking

Race Tech does the inside of your forks. There's no indication, other than a sticker, that work has been done (except, of course, if you get their full stiction coating stuff). Most people will only upgrade the springs and gold valves.

i just read up about their products, and as you said, they offer a valving kit for the stock forks. i feel that the front end is firmer/more controlled than the F4i i had

Clean title? I dont know seems like a pretty high price to me.. especially since it's obviously been down and beat to ****(track bike - safety wired) but if everything is running right, it still looks pretty damn nice in flat black w/ gold wheels.

the title is clean and like i said, bikes up here in Canadia are overpriced. check out local Buysell ads go sort by prices and see what you can find for $5,300cdn (what i paid). also, the exchange rates play a big role since cdn dollar is pretty high right now.
- "2001 Honda CBR 600, 19K, 2 helmets & jackets included, $5800 firm"
- "1999 HONDA CBR 600F4, 600cc, 26000 kms bike is in nice shape, polished wheels, custom paint, vance and hines exhaust. $5895.00."
- "97 Suzuki GSX-R600 , blue & black, 3500.00 in paint & exhaust, 599cc eng sz, carburated, 4 cyl, 6 spd, $6500 firm. Fort McMurray"
besides, i wanted a trackwhore... no point in buying a showroom queen and stripping it down for that
