92 Accord Starts halfway
Hey everyone, any help is much appreciated!
Earlier today my '92 Accord was running perfectly fine, but when i came out from work, my car stopped starting. The engine would start up, with a strong roar, but then suddenly shut off. I tried several times, and the engine shuts off immediately after the engine ignites. I don't think the engine starts up all the way. I am suspecting that it maybe a spark plug causing the problem, but I don't have enough knowledge to be certain. Tomorrow I will try taking out the spark plugs, plugging them into the spark plug wires, grounding the plugs, and try starting the engine to check for sparks. (Is that advisable?) What are the most common causes of my problem? Sorry if i didn't give enough info. The car has enough gas and the battery power is fine. Distributor was replaced by a local auto shop about 1.5 years ago. Thanks!

Well Check all the connections at the distributer. One could be loose.
If thats not it it could be a weak fuel pump or clogged fuel filter.
and if the fuel pressure is fine check for a vacuum leak around the throttle body.

Your probably not getting enough spark, or your not getting enough fuel. i think it might be fuel related cause the engine can still run if its spark related but it will run really shitty. Gives us some updates.

My car also does this occasionally. I believe it's the ignition switch. When you try to recrank, turn it all the way off and remove the key and start over.
