Default Avid motor mounts...good or bad?

aight fellas, i have a 92 integra rs w/ a b16. I jus purchased a 89 crx si from my boy for a steal. The local speed shop has Avid Racing motor mounts and shift linkage for a pretty good price. My question is...how are Avid's? What type of feedback have they gotten? I noticed they have a lifetime warranty just like Hasport. I was planning on going with hasports, but 2 things are holding me back...price and delivery time. I can get these Avids anytime. I just need your guys opinion whether its a wise investment. Thanks.

after using both i can tell you while the AVID's look the same as the hasports they don't install as nicely. Also when it comes to customer service HASport rules!

Hasport all the way, a known company that isn't going anywhere anytime soon and not to mention I called them up when my 5yr old some mounts poly went bad...they didnt care about a receipt or anything just told me to send them in and get the replaced, took less then a week.

Now that is worth a extra bit of cash to me, knowing that customer service is great.

avids are cad/cam design, proper engine and axle placement....we'll soon find out. same aluminum, as for urethane density...my car is my DD so the urethane it comes with will be more than fine.

Aight fellas, today i got crackin on putting the engine into the crx. Took me about 4-7 hours, but it was done. Getting the motor mounts bolted onto the engine/chassis was somewhat difficult at first, but with some fiddling around, i got them in, and they bolted up fine. As for the hardware, the bolts that it comes with...half of them i used, but the other half i didn't. I ended up using some of the bolts from the OEM motor mounts because of fitment reasons (the bolts seemed a little thinner). Over all, fitment is great, it sits high, but doesn't hit the hood. Great clearance for any aftermarket headers i may go with. Now...i didn't get the wiring part of it done, that i will tackle tomorrow morning...so i can't tell you guys how it drives/feels, but i will asap.

Still need my question answered! Also, i just got my Avid shift linkage in the mail today ....just finish installing my B&M short shifter and energy suspension shifter bushings. If the weather is good tomorrow, im gonna try and finish the full install. Its been a little cold and i've also been sick. So im praying that the weather is nice out to finish.

Sorry i haven't been up to date with this thread. Everything came out great. The motor mounts make the engine sit perfectly. Although, i must say...before the engine was dropped in, the tires lined up with the fenders, when i dropped the engine in....the tires are somewhat tucked in the wheel well...which isn't THAT bad...but as i was driving i hit a bump on the road and took a chuck out of the bottom of the tranny that sits the lowest. i plan on getting new suspension, but for now im going to raise up the suspension in the front just a lil so i HOPEFULY wont have the problem again.
