im looking for a place where i can get engine turned sheets in either aluminum or ss. this would need to be a thin sheet that i can make trim pieces out of similar to or exactly like the paneling found on the bentley continental T. Ive searched for months and cant find anything except gold sheet that are a vinyl. Thanks in advance.

you probably have to go to an ss, aluminum, and brass shop. they specialize in that stuff. also try metalsupermarkets.com they are nationwide but very expensive.

What thickness and dimensions are you looking for?

 

im looking for something i could use as a veneer to overlay on top of wood so not very thick. I will be either cutting the big sheet into 18"x 6" lengths or buying something similar and trimming to fit. This is going in my lexus sc since the wood just doesnt go well with the interior color. Thanks

 

Try looking at McMasterCarr to see what they have (there is a web site).

If that doesn't work, pick up a copy of Hemming's Motoring World and see what ads are there. This is a publication that covers re-building older cars.

never heard of the term before

 

this is what it looks like. there are a few different names for it. Also it doesnt have to be a round pattern, some are lines, roses, etc.
