Default H22 swap....Please help

i just swap an h22a motor into a 97 hatchback. Everything is in, hasport harness, mount, obd2a to obd1 adapter and everything. However, the car starts up fine and we drove it for like half the block and then the car just won't move forward. It can back up but when we put it in 1st, the rpm move up but the car just sit there. What can be the problem? Please help. Thanks

No.

Edit...sorry I misread...could be the syncros. What about 3rd gear? Try pulling out in 3rd. If you can, its either syncros or a shift fork, if not check the linkage.

Could be. H22 uses cables though, no "linkage" like the standard B/D series. I suppose he could have a cable routed wrong to where maybe its binding and not engaging the gear correctly. Would be more likely then the popped out axle I suggested.

this is weird but ive seen it.. if u have tried all the forward gears and it wont move then its a internal problem on a "input gear". its most likely striped... if its just 1st gear then its linkage.
