i have a 1991 civic cx hatch i picked up a cluster out off a 1989 civic si, i tried to plug the cluster in to see if everything works but it does`nt wire colors for 1991are as follows

red & blue
red
red & black
blue & green
yellow & red
green & orange
black & yellow
white & blue
blue
green

black

yellow & white
yellow & red

I assume you mean a 91 hatch DX not CX. Is your car standard or auto? Plug 1 has 12 pinouts and 2 has 8, What space has no wire going to it? (on both plugs)
Also does your car have another small blue plug in the wiring to the cluster and is there a place on the back of the Si cluster for a plug to go? If you have a digital camera and can send me detailed pictures, it would help. I myself don't, and wouldn't know how to send if I did, I'm pretty slow when it comes to computers. I'm gonna go try to match tour wiring to my son's 91 hatch DX to see if they are the same. His was auto which we changed to manual (with a Jdm b16a swap). Let me know what you come up with.
