i have mine set to 17 3/4. almost at the 18 mark. yes it is worth it. not a huge difference bey hey its free. might wanna run better gas with advanced timing.... all you need is a timing light and i think c-speedracing.com did a write up on this.

 

I advanced mine from 17 to 18 and didn't feel a difference. But the thing is, you know the added power is there, you just can't feel it.
