how much would honda charge for a timing belt change?
Around 600-800 job.
All parts and labor included.
I kno if you speak to Techs on the side, they can prolly do it cheap.
Just get the parts and stuff.
You might never know, they might do it for like $125.
But doing a timing belt i dont think its that bad.
Sure u gotta take a couple stuff out the way, but the biggest headache is getting
the timing correct. Thats what i dont like,.....

well I am doing it for someone and just getting a idea of what I should charge and the honda dealership was closed but thank you for the response.
Several years ago, when I priced my Integra to be done (I was too lazy), the dealership quoted me $775 for a timing belt change, water pump replacement, and a upper gasket kit replacement.
This was in central NJ sometime during 2001.

i had a customer come in the other day and he told me the dealership gave him an estimate of $545 parts and labor.
Dont go to dealership. Get hooked up. I paid 300 for timing belt/water pump/cam seals/crankshaft seals valve gasket/ replacement with parts and labor and valve job adjustment

i did my timing belt and water pump..i can see why they would charge so much but it's not something u can't tackle urself. gettin timing right was definitely the worst part
the previous owner of my car had the timing belt/water pump and all the belts changed at the acura dealership. The reciepts say she paid $672....im just glad its already been done..doin an sohc is extremely simple...dohc a little more tricky with the timing, but not terrible.
I just did mine with parts orderd from local shops and dealerships it all cost me about $260 but i changed everything the timing belt and a bunch of seals and gaskets, the water pump, alt belt, power steering belt, the tensioner and the crank seal, and the lower timing belt cover cus it melted a litel bit when i used a tourch to get off the crank bolt. But if you get the parts and have a good chilton or helms manuel for your car and its not that hard, depending on how old your car is since mine waas a 92 Your crank bolt should be the hardest part but you can take it to a shop have them take it of the hand tighten it so you can get back home then do the change and tighten it up again. I got it done in about 4-5 hrs with a friend. mine broke and now its perring like new and it has 250,000 miles on it 2nd change so far how long will it go? nobody knows.
I think our dealership charges about $750. About half of the cost is parts and the other half is the labor.
The cam seals and front main seal are also replaced as a part of the package, as well as the acc. belts, timing belt, tensioner, and water pump.

I bought the water pump from Honda, bought the belt, and thermostat from a local auto parts store. My local mechanic charged me about $150 to take care of it for me. This was on my SOHC CRX. Runs great to this day
