Default RE: Valves?

Ok, have the engine TDC...checked the clearance on the lifters..but here is the issue. the first lobe, the feeler gauge fits under (0.009) then i go to put it under the second lobe, and it wont fit under, not even (0.005) would fit under, and so on and so on with the others. Could this be the reason that there is a slight knock, because the lifters are to tight?

please let me know asap...

thanks in advance
