Default another road trip in the bag - 414 miles: 6 hours

road from my house in DE back to school in Blacksburg, VA. left at around 9am and got in at about 4'ish. Yes that's 7 hours but my pit stops took awhile all in all not bad at all. This is the second time I've done this trip and it was a blast. Stayed around 80 to 85 with tops around 100 or so many times. heh. I'd like to ride tank to tank but early on i had to stop for water and to hit the rest room several times. anyways. Road trips =

and in case you're wondering what I ride. Litre V-Twin FTW!!

What was your gas mileage like? I always hear about horrible gas mileage on the Super Chickens. I think I might be able to get 120 out of my tank. I have the other litre Vtwin

i wasn't keeping track too much today but last time the light was coming on at about 140 miles and that leaves a gallon left in a 4.2 gallon tank. that works out to be what like 44 or so... not bad. around town I fill up at about 100 miles or less

Around town I fill up at about the same. Freeway cruising I get pretty good mileage though

I think I could've gotten more. but i was going a little quick at times and I tend to forget 6th gear even exists sometimes since I always have torque

oh and she ticked over 15k today

Does riding/driving back to school really count as a road trip?

Baby steps...baby steps...

GG #9. You've got a Corbin seat, right? I'm sure that helps stave off butt-burn.

No, that's just traveling via motorcycle.

Road trips have multiple desinations, are last minute or where you spend more time on the road than the places you see... or some combination of the three, preferably all.

eh. yeah well technically not. But something about doing the trip on my bike makes it a lot more challenging on the bike then in the car. I'd make the trip home in the car at almost any hour, weather, etc... So I used the wrong noun to describe the trip. eh

Marmalade: I have a corbin but my butt still hurts a little. without the added weight from the backpack it might not have

The butt burn just doesn't set in as early with a Corbin.

I've made it to 40 minutes before BB sets in.
