i have a 2000 Civic SI..

i am throwing a Check engine light, and i got acura to scan the code, and there saying its the idle air control valve..so my buddy had one from his JDM b16 botor and it bolted up, but will it work completely? is there a wiring difference internally?

jus wondering because i put it on, and i got the code cleared, and the next day the same code has came on...

then why would it be throwing the code still?

 

bad wiring prolly. Is the car ideling funny? If u take the sensor to advanced auto parts they will check the sensor 4 free

 

just because it threw the code doesnt mean it HAD to be the iac. could be high resistance in the curcuit.or something of that natrure... or probably what happened to me may have happened to you...changed it from one bad one to a next LOL

 

yea i just ordered a new one from honda so hopefully it fixes it.

my idle is really fucked up..specially when it sits at idle for a few minutes

 

have it tested u might b waisting $.
