Funny smog story....

well first of all i don't want to flame cali peeps....i use to be a cali guy meself....
well i'll start with my set up...
1990 honda civic
1992 d16z6 swap
4-1 dc header
zc tranny
da axels
obd-0
pm7 ecu
jg bored TB/intake
old skool RS Akimoto intake and filter and old skool dirt.....have not cleaned it in like 5 years
old skool HKS exhaust
"NO CAT"
act light flywheel
da radiator
ex master cylinder
90-91 crx rear disc convertion
p.s. my car needs a tune up and is running like sh$#...
well the story is i moved to nevada a few years a go....i kept my cali plates...so every time i needed to register my car....well...i would have to pay big $ to get it registered......so when i got a notice on the mail that i needed to take my car to a test only station....well....thats when i decided to register my car in Nevada. i knew that my car won't pass smog...so i started to look and ask peeps if i can get a smog Hook up.....well i got this friend that he said he knew some one...so we went and i was ready to pay 200+ for a smog. well we got there and his budy was not working there anymore.....so the guy said he can run it and see what happened.....to my surprice it almost passed......idle did not...so he said change spark plugs and come back....i paid the $17 for the test, went home got some new spark plugs and retarded timing a bit went back and it passed with flying colors.....paid 17 for the retest and got my plates....
i would guess nevada does not have strict laws on smog......jut wanted to share my story with u guys.....

My brother kept all his cars registered in Arizona when he lived on base in California. He had a crazy Banks Powerstoke F-250 and such. That way he didn't have to worry about all that stuff.

Military personnel do not have to register their vehicles in the state they are stationed in. Everybody else would get pestered by law enforcement.

Ford F250 Powerstrokes are diesel, diesel powered vehicles currently do not have to be smogged.
