I need some advice !!
I recently bought a 2000 LX Honda Accord, but for some reason, the owner before me (my father), changed the catalytic converter, and i've been driving with the check engine on since then, i recently pulled out the codes, i'm getting, "Catalyst system efficiency bellow threshold". I've been looking for the original Catalytic Converter for a while now, but the ones i've been able to find they're Not For Use On California Emissioned Vehicles.

Also, i found out that There are ways to defeat this efficiency defeating mechanism. some companies manufacture a device that can be inserted inline with the sensor and tricks the voltage signals into thinking it is within normal parameters. Therefore, any modification for cleaner burning will not be defeated by the oxygen sensor.

any suggestions? has someone heard about this device?

my buddy had the same CEL and changed the o2 and on the cat and CEL didnt come back.
