Which injectors to use?
I'm putting a 96 B18B1 into my girlfriend's 91 CRX. I was wondering if I can use the 96 injectors as long as I also use the CRX Si injector resistor box and plugs? If not, will the CRX injectors be sufficient? I'm using a 91 LS ecu and a few people told me that the 90-91 LS uses the same injectors as an 88-91 CRX/Civic Si.
i am sure that you have to use 90-91 teg injectors b/c they are run off a diff. restiatnce then the 96 which do not use the same injector res. box set-up..as far as crx/civic si injectors not really sure..
i think i read somewhere that all honda injectors are the same flow. so i would think you could use the ones that are in her car now as long as they fit and dont leak.
I'm not sure how the resistance is in the 96 injectors because they don't use a resistor box. I assumed that the ecu has the resistance settings programed in it. I was thinking that as long as I use the resistor box then the 96 injector will have the same settings as a 91 injector would. They make all kinds of aftermarket injectors and people are even using ones from preludes, DSM cars and what not which makes me think that it should work as long as I use the resistor box. I'd like to confirm this with someone who has tried or is using this setup though.
u must use the non obd injecters with a resister box the new injecters are saturation injecters and the older the ones u use are peak and hold i believe im a lil tired brain may be backwards but they flow at the same rate so use the older injecters
In order to use the 96 injectors, you would have to -remove- the injecotor resister box. Just use your stock si injectors, they are the exact same size. All you'll need after that is a 90-91 Integra distributor, and stretch your stock harness only the B18b and your set.
