Default which header should i get

ok so theres the dc race header which is only $350 and then theres the comptech race header which is like $900 so is it really worth all the extra money to get the comptech header and whats the hp gain diffrence from the both

Is this just for a daily driver, or a track car?

A honda shop locally told me that he couldnt install the dc sports header and cat back exhaust because it replace the cat. Is this true and what should I do? He said that he would have a hard time expalining that I wouldnt be using my 06 civic only off the road!

if its a sports (shorty) header your cat stays. race headers get rid of the cat

They're out there -- they're usually nicknamed as "shorty" header because, well, they're short.

Nobody bothers talking about them much because they're not as newsworthy as race headers (no emissions problems, no installation issues that I've heard of, etc).

Oh goddammit, I finally noticed that you're looking for stuff for the FG2.

I posted about the EP3/DC5, but I'll guess that since the layout of the FG2's engine is the same, then header topics would be pretty much the same.

There are a few ways to look at this matter. Toda (yes drooling) is handmade, TIG welded, stainless steel... BUT you have to change the front swaybar with the JDM/Toda unit in order to run the Toda.

The DC unit (the stainless one) is TIG'd, stainless steel, not as nice as the toda but it is $600 less than the TODA.

For the money, Im going with a DC race header (the one that eliminates the cat)... it would be nice to have the additional power and bling, but its not +$600 cool for a college student.
