Down Falls
Hello, well I am going to get my first car in a few months and started to look around. I have chosen the RSX, sorry not the Type-S. My Dad is paying for this, he also hinted that the TSX might be in line for options also. I was wondering if there is any down falls off this car. Any thing that would make me not want this car? I will NOT be tuning it or racing it. I might put an exhast but probably not. Thank you. Oh and does it has a lot of trunk/back seat room?
if you're not going for the type S... definitely go for the TSX.... There's nothing really about this car that would make you not want it.... except it's a bit over-priced.... but hey.. it's your Dad's money.... spend it while you still can.. Oh and it definitely has more room (trunk/back/rear/head/leg) than the RSX....
trunk space in the RSX is good for its size of car. as for rear passenger legroom, it can be made to give room if the front passenger/driver are willing to reposition their seating to accomodate...the 1 downfall of the interior space is the LACK of headroom in the rear for passengers. I'm 6'0 and there's NO WAY i'd be comfy back there at all...my head crams against the roof like Shaq in a mini-cooper
and i too say go with the TSX...you wont be disappointed, especially leaving it in stock form..

your asking people on the internet how much trunk room there is??
drive to the dealership and check it out.....a picture is worth a thousand words......touching, look and hearing......10 billion words maybe?

Seriously, go check it out for yourself.
I'd pass on the TSX. I was going to get one after I sold my R, but half way through the test drive, I knew I was going to be bored with it in a couple of weeks of ownership. I'd even take my old 95 LS over the TSX. Yeah, it was that boring to drive.

if you not touching the car....
TSX FTW!!!
TSX are in my opinion far nicer and have more comforts than the RSX. I would Love to have one as a DD.
Seriously. If you arent giong to be working on the car dont get a RSX. You will be dissappointed in its "sportiness" in stock form. The TSX is the way to go.
look into a Subaru Legacy GT or just a Legacy. If i was in the market for a DD...that is what i woudl get.

Daddy has already purchased the RSX for him. Daddy owns a TSX and may mod it???? There are no down falls to the RSX. Its a fine car. Drive it and enjoy it and be thankful that your dad is so generous. The RSX is not the fastest car in the world but its not slow either. The handling is pretty good. The fuel economy is pretty good. The resale value is high. The interior materials are great. What more could you want?
If you^^^ are trying to make fun of the creater of this thread with the daddy comments...thats pretty stupid.
Parent buying a kid a car...there is nothing wrong with that.
NEXT. there ARE downfalls to RSX's....just like ANY CAR. the transmission is the biggest in the rsx.

I was asking about the trunk because I play lacrosse and would want to be able to stick a 6 foot stick and a big gear bag either in the trunk or with the seats folded down. I'm not going to go to the dealership and put my **** in there just to see if it fits. But I have aready checked the car out from the outside but haven't gotten in one yet. I will soon though!

Wow, you really need to comprehend the post I first made. I said that the TSX is an option for my car, not that my Dad has one. Infact he is getting a car soon also, it's between a kit Cobra and a 997. That is how I'm getting this car p.s. haha
