crx quarter mile time
My friend ran his crx si yesterday on the gtec yesterday and he pulled a 15.6 in the quarter with a 0-60 of 7.1. All he has is a AEM short ram, dc header and a brospeed cat back. Do you guys think this is acurate just find it hard to belive thta it would run that fast.
depends on how mint the engin is what type of tires/slicks?..... and is the car was gutter. how was the clutch... good,bad....slipping at all?
well when i ran my 90 CRX SI with on i & e i ran 17.0 but with a good driver and .525 r/t he nailed a 16.3 ... oh yeah i also had nitto drag radials 14 inch.

I have ran low 17's on avg with slipping clutch on a dx with i/e once i got a 16.7 with a differant exhaust, my friend gutted his dx rex and ran 16.8 <he had stock tires i had nissan 200sx se rims>
g techs dont have a reaction time add in 6 tenths of a sec.. so like a 16.2

my friend ran a 15.4 with a 89 crx si, with no air filter and a gutted cat and kumho tires. not bad. then he had the brilliant idea of putting a 150 shot of nitrous on it
and the motor was toast soon after.

my stock 88 rex si (completely stock) with both seats and spare tire IN CAR ran a 17.00. But then again, since I suck at drag racing I stick to the circuit track.
My curent project, an 88' CRX JDM B16 with an LSD, with I/H/E and fully gutted to the bare metal on stock tires ran a 14.7 at Sacramento Raceway.

reaction time doesnt make a difference on the 1/4 mile time.
You can sit there for 30 minutes as a reaction time and you would still get the same 1/4 mile time as the guy that launched a .500 r/t

the car is in full street trim with the stock 89 si wheels half the tread left on the tires, AEM cold air, dc header, brospeed ex and a centerforce clutch dual friction. The engine has about 133,000 miles on it if that make that much of a difference. I just find it hard to beleive that it ran that .
Only in actual bracket racing does the RT count. Time trials it means absolutely nothing...Just there for you to get practice so you can get the best time during bracket racing.

my 89' rex si ran a 16.1, but I had header, exhaust that was too large, adn stripped interior. I think it was capable of 15.9's, but it blew up before I could find out...

friend of mine w/ 90 si hatch full interior, dc header, cai, no cat, 2.5" exhaust 45psi fuel pressure, high flow pump ran a 14.7 in 1/4. now its got a zc w/ same setup. kid seems to have either really good luck w/ motors or good driving skillz.

I watched a CRX Si pull a 15.6 on me w/ hoosier slicks last weekend at LVMS... checked under the hood, no vtec solenoid and no NOS solenoid, fully gutted and had about 15 psi in the tires. Not a bad driver, cool night....
oh yeah, he pulled a 1.2-ish reaction to my .542 so that car had to be faster than a 15.6.

14.7 out of a basicly stock si hatch???...find that kinda hard to believe

When I say up hill, down hill, etc. I certainly mean a very slight grade, not anything you can see by eye.
