window net with out death spear into your noggin
it seems 9 out of 10 window net kits ive seen at the track and in pictures...the front upper connection (closest to the windsheild) is just a death trap waiting to blast through your head if the window net is not actually being used at the time. i just redid my cage and dont want to bang my head on that stupid thing anymore so im looking for new ideas. anybody have any pictures...and/or reccamend any particular mounting kit?
i mounted mine sideways against the a pilar up top and out of the way that right there is a nono i dont even know how you get in and out of that thing with that there
I used the jegs kit. http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs...Id=-1
I had the buckle welded to the cage. I havent hit my head yet.

i didnt do the one i posted....yes its a pain in the *** to get in and out of that car though. the one i had for my car woudlnt have worked doing it the way you did yours....but im going to just get a new one this year that is a little more awesome. thanks for the pics
Might look like it's way in the way, but it's really not. I haven't hit my head yet, and it swings out of the way nicely and clips on quick and easy.

On the car I am building up. Steen welded the buckle to the cage and the noggin killer on the net bar. Just reverse the two and no more problems.
Here are the part # we use for the window net from jerry bickel: We only use Stroud Safty equipment.
Window net mount kits:
Part #: JBRC3011

How is the top clip mounted to the cage?

i think you should have this figured out already joe, but if you still need ideas, here is the red car if you didnt notice in person:

the seatbelt buckle is welded to the roof hoop, and the tab is part of the window net hanger.

if you are asking me, when unbuckled, it slides forward, and can be tucked all the way down. basically you can wrap it around the door bar out of the way. hope that explains it.

I meant the upper bar, but I guesss it stays there? I'm not sure I'm understanding how it works I guess.
Both bars are completely stationary and only unbuckles to allow the net to go on and off?

nah look at the end opposite the buckle. the rod slides into a welded tab about 1.5" - 2" when you unbuckle it, it slides out of the tab and drops down.
