Default need help with latches

i just bought a s2000 andthe top wasent closing right i when to the dealer and they told me they would charge me 296dollars to fix it any help?

well it closes good but when i hit about 70mph it sounds really loud in side like its not closing right

For $296 they're just going to shim/adjust your catchers. New ones + labor run much more than that.

I have the same problem, and I too took it to the dealer. They said the adustments aren't in the hooks (they said that there's no adjustment there and I agree), but in the back where the top supports are. I didn't get a price and let it go at that. This is, again, what the dealer-service dept. said and they've been good with me on the work I've had done. But, if anyone else has anymore info. on this topic, I'd like to know too!

Does the noise go away if you grab hold of the handle for the top and pull down? I had that problem, so I took some rubber tubing and slid them over the little hooks on the latch. Works good, so far.
